Last week in psychology

This last week we have been studying sensation and perception.  Sensation is what occurs when a stimulus activates a receptor.  We learned about the 5 basic and 2 additional senses, the receptors used, and the stimuli for each.  We took a look at thresholds, absolute and difference, and memorized what the absolute thresholds are for the five senses.  We completed an experiment that related to signal detection theory more specifically the stroop effect.  In table groups the classes created posters of the seven senses that showed and explained the pathways of stimuli. 

Assignments that were due included:

1. Notes and vocab for 8.1 and 8.2...8.3 is due on Monday
2. Graphic organizer for the seven senses
3. Sense Poster in table groups if you were in class  - on your own if you were absent
